Bled me dry they did!
Well, as of like an hour ago I have officially become a blood donor. It's a little intimidating at first but the whole thing is such a non event.
Nothing much to it really. Go in, get iron tested, fill out forms, get asked many questions (the best of which: "have you ever had sex with a man who has had sex with a man after 1977?" lol- I hesitated. hehe kidding!) Then they sit you down and jab you with a needle and away you go!
Almost two cups of blood later you can go...eat free donuts and get some juice!
Of course, it took forever to get the blood out of me, something about they put it in a small vein...silly.
Either way, you go out feeling the same way you came in..minus a bit of a stiff arm. I would recommend doing it, and I'll most likely do it again! ..yes it was that fun!

you are brave Katie, not sure if I have the courage to donate blood.
What blood type are you?
I don't know what mine is?
I don't actually know either. They send you a donor card which will indicate your blood type...but mine is supposed to come in like 7 weeks (max).
You can sometimes make a pretty good guess if you know your parents blood types but my mom isnt sure about hers and my Dad is O neg I think. I'm most likely A or O since they are the most common.
